My Husband the 2012 College Graduate!!

My Husband the 2012 College Graduate!!

Danny has finally made it to the end of school!! YAY!! He graduated in Visual Arts Communication...or in other words Graphic Design! He has worked so hard to get here and I am glad that he finally did it.

A week before graduation all the seniors graduating have a show to highlight all the work they have done in the program. Danny showed a poster, some CD covers, and also his portfolio. (Go ahead and click here to see his portfolio...very talented.)

People checking out his awesome stuff.

That's his poster.

There were some other pictures from the night...but as with a lot of artsy things one of the students took naked pictures of her self and had them hanging up...not something I really want to share. ha ha.

Graduation day was great. We went to the big graduation at the Dee Events Center early in the morning, it was kind of long but it was good. Then after we went to lunch with Danny's family. His brother graduated also and we had time in between convocations to eat. Then we went to his convocation.

The Arts Department knows how to have a celebration. The graduates walked in with streamers and the song was not the traditional one. They also had some singing.

Before...not a graduate.

Hot Diggity-Dog~Bahama Mama

This has been a great week....I have been off for Spring Break!! YAY!! We have accomplished a lot, and yet we have had time to relax and do things. Yesterday we decided to go to lunch and a movie. There isn't really a whole lot of movies out there that we haven't seen that we wanted to. So, we turned to trusty Flixster to see what movies were playing and came across a movie called Salmon Fishing in the Yemen. I had never heard of it before, but we watched the trailer and we thought we'd give it a shot. (We figured it couldn't be any worse than some of the other movies we have seen recently.)  It turned out it was pretty good. (Hard to explain, lame title...just watch the trailer.)

But timing to get to the movie was an issue. We only had a half hour to eat and get to the theater, the movie is only playing at the Junction a couple of times a day. So we had to pick something quick to eat and I was starving so waiting until after the movie wasn't an option for me, I suggested that we could just eat something at the theater, but we also had to stop and get gas. Lately, I have been wanting a hot dog, which is kind of a weird thing for me, I am usually not one to want hot dogs. I have been talking/teasing about getting a hot dog for a few days and Danny kept telling me that Maverik is THE best place to get one. So, he said we could stop and get gas and Bahama Mamas...yikes. A hot dog from a gas stations?? But like I said I was hungry and hot dogs sounded good so I did it. I got the hot dog and put all sorts of yummy stuff on it and ate the whole thing.
And the best part is I didn't even get heart burn from it.
