Hot Diggity-Dog~Bahama Mama

This has been a great week....I have been off for Spring Break!! YAY!! We have accomplished a lot, and yet we have had time to relax and do things. Yesterday we decided to go to lunch and a movie. There isn't really a whole lot of movies out there that we haven't seen that we wanted to. So, we turned to trusty Flixster to see what movies were playing and came across a movie called Salmon Fishing in the Yemen. I had never heard of it before, but we watched the trailer and we thought we'd give it a shot. (We figured it couldn't be any worse than some of the other movies we have seen recently.)  It turned out it was pretty good. (Hard to explain, lame title...just watch the trailer.)

But timing to get to the movie was an issue. We only had a half hour to eat and get to the theater, the movie is only playing at the Junction a couple of times a day. So we had to pick something quick to eat and I was starving so waiting until after the movie wasn't an option for me, I suggested that we could just eat something at the theater, but we also had to stop and get gas. Lately, I have been wanting a hot dog, which is kind of a weird thing for me, I am usually not one to want hot dogs. I have been talking/teasing about getting a hot dog for a few days and Danny kept telling me that Maverik is THE best place to get one. So, he said we could stop and get gas and Bahama Mamas...yikes. A hot dog from a gas stations?? But like I said I was hungry and hot dogs sounded good so I did it. I got the hot dog and put all sorts of yummy stuff on it and ate the whole thing.
And the best part is I didn't even get heart burn from it.

Stuck with Me Forever

On December 14, 2010 I married my best friend...
a year later he became my eternal companion!

A handshake to seal the deal....
Danny and I were able to be sealed on our one year anniversary! Last year we had some complications with some paper work that we needed to have done in order to do it then. So this year, we started the paper work early enough so we could plan it to be able to do it exactly on our anniversary. We were so excited when we got our clearance letter from the first presidency. We really wanted to take a picture of it, but in the letter it asks to not make any copies for personal use, so we abided. But it was really an awesome feeling to know that for a brief moment they thought and prayed about us. Our stake president let us know that the first presidency really looks at each one of those which I think makes it that much more special.

Coming out of the Temple.
We decided to be sealed in the Logan Temple. It was an amazing day. Many special feelings. We were lucky to have most of our family join us.

My nieces sat in the waiting room and waited for us...Gracie is giving us a special picture.

Everyone that was there....except Dave Christiansen
(he was the lucky one to marry us last year, and was stuck taking our picture here)
and our Bishop and His wife that had to leave.

Baby Boy Carver

IT'S A BOY!

Last week we had our "targeted ultrasound". They measured him to make sure that he is growing and developing the way he should. The Ultra sound tech said that he is measuring a week early and everything is looking good. We think he looks perfect! Here are a few pictures from the ultrasound. You can tell that he is going to be a heartbreaker!
(That's not just his mom saying this, the proof is in the pictures!!)

This is him flexing his muscles!

This one is a 3D of his face,
you can see he has his hand up by his forehead.

This one is my favorite...you can see his cute profile.
Again he has his hand up by his mouth, we think he is sucking his thumb.

He got shy....but this way we got to see his cute ear.

He is all comfy!!
We are so excited to add him to our little family!!
Now if we could only find a name...

Breaking News...

Okay...for some of you this isn't breaking news, but for some it might be....but Baby Carver will be here the end of May!! Baby has a strong heart beat and is developing well!! Mom is doing okay...really tired and not hungry at all! (I hear that changes later on...I hope so!!)

Anyway here is the baby's first picture!! If you look at the dark circle and see the white stuff on the left close to the top...that's it. The size of a raspberry!! We will keep you posted on things!!

Rockin' the Ukes...

Danny has had this dream that I play an instrument with him. Those that know me well know that I am really good at playing the radio or iPod. When he suggested that we learn the Ukulele...I was a little hesitant. We pulled out his uke a while ago...but I didn't practice. Then a couple of weeks ago Danny bought me my very own fancy uke.

Danny is a real patient teacher...and I can now kind of, sort of, play a couple of cords and three songs uber slow on the Ukulele. The first video is after my very first lesson...not to bad if you ask me.

The next two are after a few more lessons...

Anyway, the uke is really fun and we are available to play any show...just let us know!

Dave's Bigfoot Show Part 1&2

Danny's uncle Dave loves everything Bigfoot. He organized a Bigfoot show the past couple of years to talk with people about their encounters with the big stinky creature. Last year Dave's Bigfoot show was held at Huntsville BBQ, but this year they had two different shows one at the Weber County Fair and one at Wolf Mountain. Danny did the graphics for the show, he designed the posters and some of the t-shirts.

This is one of the ad posters that Danny did.

We went to Part 1 at the Weber County Fair. It was fun, but the sound in the arena was not so good. You had to work really hard to listen to the stories. The ones I did hear were pretty amazing. They had some really cool cut outs for the stage.

At Part 2 up at Wolf Mountain Danny and I were in charge of selling the t-shirts. We had a total of 42 of the ones he did, and we sold all of them. They are sweet! I am glad I got one before they had sold out!!

Danny also made some poster...we still have a few of those if anyone wants them. Only $5 and they are signed and numbered!!
Posters!!

I would say that the night was a success. There were lots of people there and some really fun Bigfoot stories. It was fun being up in the mountains. It made the atmosphere better.

A view of the stage

Again us with the bigfoot

After the show they had a "Blood Run". It was a 5K up the mountain with Bigfoots roaming around. We didn't run, but helped at the finish line. The runners seemed to have fun.

Those who missed it...I am sure there will be another Bigfoot show next year, so stay tuned!!
(Hopefully by then Danny and I will have our own Bigfoot story to share!!!)

The Funny Thing About Blogging...

The funny thing about blogging is that once I get behind...it is so hard for me to get motivated to catch up. Some bloggers are sooo good. They blog once a day or week or way more often than me. I guess I should set a certain time to do it. But...I will update this soon. The main reason why I am blogging that I am going to blog is so when I look at all of your newly updated blogs it won't say that it has been FOUR WEEKS!!

Anyway, because you took the time to read this, I will add some pictures for you to look through.
